Those who prefer an Ultra HDTV rather than LCD, they can now be more optimistic about the cost and date. The latest 65-inch OLED 4K TV 65EC9700 launched by LG will most likely be available in September this year with a sticker cost of nearly $9,000. Besides profound OLED blacks, TV also comes with some useful aspects like passive 3D, Miracast/MHL and almost undetectable bezels.
The initial OLED 4K TVs, counting that one, came in advance this year at Consumer Electronics Show, but until now none have been made available in the market. The cost evaluation has not been observed so far, except for some of the unusual TVs such as curved 77-inch UHDTV that costs around $30,000. Despite the fact that the 65-inch OLED 4K TV is far more rational, as per the analysis of HD Guru, the minimum feasible cost offered by LG is around $7,000 – still very high as compared to LG’s 4K LCD TV.
Another good news is that LG’s new Curved OLED 4K TV 65EC9700 can be sourced for around $6,999. Does it seem costly? Yes. But keep in mind that a 65-inch OLED model will surely have much better display as compared to even the best 65-inch LCD 4K models.
